What is a cookie or similar technologies?

A cookie is a small data file that is downloaded to a browser when you visit a website. Web beacons, also known as pixel tags, are tiny graphic objects that are embedded in a web page or email. In this Cookie Notice, we call all these technologies “cookies”.

What information does Camso collect through cookies?

When enabled, cookies will automatically collect information about an interaction or visit to our website or other online service or our marketing emails. As for the domain to which it belongs, they are either:

• First-party cookies which are set by the web server of the visited page and share the same domain, in this case Camso or its processors.
• Third-party cookies stored by a different domain to the visited page's domain. they are placed by third-party partners that Camso has authorized (for example an advertising agency). When they use cookies, these third-party partners are responsible for the cookies they use.

Besides these characteristics relating to their functioning cookies can pursue several purposes. Please note that the titles of categories may vary from one actor to another. To a better understanding, Camso defines them regarding the categories below.

Strictly necessary cookies are cookies that are indispensable because they enable core functionality such as accessibility, content delivery, network management and security. Without these cookies, we could not deliver content to your browser, secure areas of our site, or record information in a webform.

Advertising cookies generated by social network sharing buttons

Camso uses so-called social plugins (hereinafter referred to as buttons) which link to social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

When you visit our website, these buttons are disabled by default, which means they do not send any information to the social networks in question without action on your part. Before you can use these buttons, you must click to enable them. The buttons remain enabled until you disable them again or you delete your cookies. Once they have been enabled, the system connects directly to the server of the social network selected. The content of the button is then transferred directly from the social networks to your web browser, which incorporates them into the website you are visiting.

As soon as you have enabled a button, the social network in question can collect data, irrespective of whether you use the button. Camso provides a Cookie preference solution to manage users’ consent on our websites or applications regarding cookies.

During your first visit to our site, this dashboard allows you to indicate your choice. You can accept, configure, or decline them.

You are free to accept or decline cookies but be aware that a refusal could make your browsing on our website less user-friendly and with less relevant content.

The consent given is valid for a period not exceeding the expiration date of the cookie regarding its purpose and no longer than necessary in accordance with the legislation.
